The first drawing gets $500, second $1000, third is $1500 and last drawing is for $2000. We give the kids incentives along the way such as if you complete a booklet the first week you get a popsicle, if you complete 3 books within __ weeks you get to watch a movie etc. Another great fundraiser is our fall festival. Good luck!

I have also heard that Trivia Nights can be big, particularly if you incorporate other things into it such as auctions. There are several internet sites that have information on these.
Permalink Reply by Kari Ann Stritch on July 2, 2012 at 10:24am There is so much concern with keeping kids healthy and keeping their attendance up, offering an Eco-friendly disinfectant that kills all bacteria, viruses, and destroys odor on the spot ( great for when a child throws up in class) would be a great "awareness" to bring to any school. Healthyhomes4kids.com offers Fund Raisers (catalog sales) that would be great; especially during flu season! 2 ideas: *1) Have parents from each class room donate a bottle of greenO2 each month and have children take turns disinfecting door knobs, desks, etc... this gives the kids a sense of responsibility and will keep the "GERMS AWAY!" Because they are "green" kids can discuss and learn how they are helping the environment. *2) Hold a greenO2 fund raiser (easy catalog sales-very little work for PTA) selling products that help keep families and communities healthy and brings awareness about Eco-friendly products.
So many schools have closed down last year because of Staph outbreaks, this is an opportunity to say we, (I am a PTA member) can help and raise money for our schools.
