Capri Sun Pouch Collection

Our school is trying to be "green" and one way to have the kids help with that is to collect Capri Sun Pouches in the cafeteria. I've placed a rubbermaid bin by the garbage cans with a large hand made poster that states "Capri Sun Pouche's HERE". Then I have a note that the pouches must be fully empty and straws removed.

I found a high school student who needs volunteer hours to count the pouches one a week or once every two weeks and he separates them into groups of 10 so that it is easier for me to put them in an envelope and send them off to terracycle. It's a great program and it makes the kids responsible for their actions.

We hope to purchase a bench made out of recyclable material for our kickball field with our earnings.
