A resource for PTA and parent involvement project ideas
incentives for high school students
Does anyone use incentives for the high school students (or their parents) to join PTSA? We are challenged with our membership numbers and are looking for ideas from others that have strong, successful PTSA groups at this level. Thanks.

Tell the students and Parents that there are great Scholarship opportunities for Seniors and parents in continuing their education. Many people do not know this and this is a great incentive. Have flyers on your table at back to school night, All registration days before school and any school functions, ie, homecoming festivities, basketball games, etc. Promote, Promote, Promote. Get an email list going and communicate with members so they tell others what great information they are getting!!

is this scholarship available only if they join the ptsa?? my son joined our ptsa bc i signed him up; but, will likely never attend a single meeting. he doesn't think it's cool to be involved in ptsa..lol hwever, i think there are students who may join, if there was an incentive for them. i just dont know what that incentive may be. alot of children that are interested in clubs, already belong to them.
