Hi Robin,

I'm sorry your having trouble. I tried the link that I pasted below and it seems to be ok. You so have to go through a few steps first, starting by entering your e-mail address. After you do that, the second screen will give you a button to push to download the recorded webinar. It will play like a movie, so you'll have to have a program that lets you watch it. I think that it plays on RealPlayer on my computer.

This is another page with the link:
http://www.healthiergeneration.org/schools.aspx?id=3474

That is a page on the Alliance for a Healthier Generation site, but the webinar is the first one listed (today, any way). From that page, you also have the option of just downloading the slides.

The archive link doesn't work (at least for me).

In case you missed the webinar, or if you would like for someone else to take a look, an archived version can be found here:

(you have to use an e-mail address to get to the right place, but it won't be used for anything)

Webinar: Raising Money While Promoting Health in Schools
Wednesday, January 20th, 12 pm EST
This webinar will help you, as parents and caring adults, influence efforts to conduct health-promoting and profitable fundraisers in your children's schools. Explore guiding principles and alternatives to traditional candy and baked goods fundraisers. Hear from others, including PTA leaders, who have stories to share or come ready to share an example of your success. Ask questions and gain ideas and resources for taking the next step in your school community. School staff and other interested parties are welcome to attend. (Co-sponsored by National PTA and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.)

To participate, register online:

Hello everyone! I offer free and entertaining dental health programs for elementary students in most of central Oklahoma. Through the generous help of Dental Depot, toothbrushes and toothpaste are provided at NO COST! If you are not in my area, I can still help with program ideas and information.

Hello everyone! I am new to the site and was curious to see what everyone's schools do for vision/hearing screenings? Do your schools perform mass screenings, and if so, what kind of technology is used? Arizona does not require vision screenings in schools and it drives me crazy!

Hello I'm new to the site, thanks to one of my dear friends from our PTA group. My child attends a wonderful school; Westview K-8 located in florida. We are starting committees and programs at our school, one of the many things we are interested in is making sure our students are healthy as well as safe. So I'm all open for ideas. Thank you.

Same here. We are still in the planning stages. So, you are planning to have people rotate from each station every 10-15 minutes or so?
Lisa Edelman Comment by Lisa Edelman on August 14, 2009 at 11:06am
We are going to have it interactive with groups of children (obviously done with basic drills and completely safe), they are going to be in groups that will have a time limit of say 10 minutes each, and then rotate to the next activity. Kids will be able to add to the groups as needed, and drop out of a group if they just aren't interested. The companies will all bring in their own mats and set them up. We are still in the planning stages for this event to see how it will all come together.

Also, do you have them all going on at the same time or are they staggered?
