Brookview Elementary partners with Adidas/Sports Licensed Division/Reebok
Tonight I was able to attend our School Board meeting along with our principal, our dean and two of our teachers. We were there to accept a $10,000 check from Adidas for our school. This money will be used to help our 5th graders pay for their Washington, DC field trip, to buy new recess equipment, pay for tennis lessons and two 6-week long sessions of dance classes that the PTA is organizing. Not only is Adidas putting their money into our school, they are providing their hearts and hands as well. Their employees will be volunteering in our building, reading to students, etc. What a perfect example of home, school and community coming together to help support our students!

We are very lucky that our Principal knew someone who worked there who told him that the business was looking for some kind of a partnership like this where they could make a donation and give employees an opportunity to do service work. Right place at the right time?
