Teacher Appreciation Week

This might be a dumb question, but I looked on the SC PTA website and could not find the answer.

Does PTA assign the week of teacher appreciation? If so, when is teacher appreciation week?

Trying to finalize the schedule of events for the school year and I am new at this. Can anyone relate?

We always celebrate the first full week of May.

The first full week in May - May 3-7, 2010

Teacher Appreciation Week 2010 will be celebrated May 3-7. The PTA.org website has been updated. You can always find Teacher Appreciation Week resources at PTA.org/taw.

Great answers already, but don't hesitate to move it to a different week if that works better for your local unit. Every three years during the first week of May our community holds a huge (something like 15,000 out of district kids participate throughout the week) Aviation and Technology week.

During those years, we are always too busy with those events to also do Teacher Appreicaiton, so we just do it a different week.
