Facebook. How do I create an account for our PTA? I tried to give it it's own username and password but Facebook wouldn't allow it. Then I tried to put the username and password under my name but then it showed my name and there is no way to change it to our PTA name. If I am logged in under my own personal account I can add a Facebook Page for our PTA but I don't like doing it this way. I want it to be separate from me so the President and myself can have access to update things to the account. Plus when I'm not PTA VP anymore someone else can change the password and take over.

So is anyone out there computer savy and can help me get started? Thanks so much!

Starkey Elementary PTA has LOTS of good files/documents to share with other PTAs who might be interested. What I spent HOURS creating would take you just minutes to edit for your own needs. Because I know that this is a busy time for Membership Chairs/VPs, I wanted to especially mention that we have included good membership files (PTA membership form, PTA coupon book, G.O.O.S.E. coupons for staff & faculty, Boo Hoo Woo Hoo breakfast flyer, etc). By the way, G.O.O.S.E. stands for "Get Out Of School Early" and is a coupon for the faculty and staff to redeem in order to be able to leave school when the students do. Only faculty and staff who join PTA get one of these coupons.

The link to all these files and more is at: http://teacherweb.com/FL/StarkeyElementary/PTA/apt16.aspx

We ended up using Esigns.com - they were fast and the banners turned out great!

If you're still looking for a vendor to print banners, I list some on my blog - www.walkathonguide.com/useful-stuff

No, I'm sorry, National PTA does not have a preferred vendor.

I'm in need of a vendor for printing banners. Does National PTA have a preferred vendor? Thanks!

Bonnie,
Have you looked at Jamba Juice? They are a national sponsor of PTA and have a great program that takes no work from you. My high school made the partnership this year and it has been a great sucess.

I'm working on my third meeting, and everything seems too be going just fine, some of the members are not showing up and some are just not doing their work. The ideas we voted on are just not being followed through., I have given out hand books with the rules and order of the meeting. I guest I will just try to work harder with my staff.
